Text tag shortening does not work with Text-based Merge Fields in Conga.

Cause

Disable Text-based Merge Fields in Conga and use Standard merge fields.

Resolution

To disable Text-based Merge Fields, do the following steps:

1. Go to Setup > installed packages and click configure in front of Conga.
2. Disable 'Enable Text-based Merge Fields (Word)'.
