The Open in VR button in the top bar lets you launch Reviewer or even open a specific review in VR from the desktop.
To use the Open in VR functionality from the desktop version of Substance 3D Reviewer, you need to connect your Adobe and Meta accounts. If you're still having trouble once your accounts have been connected, use the following troubleshooting steps to fix the problem.
Linked to the Incorrect meta account
If Open in VR seems to have no effect, you may be signed into your headset with a different account.
- Make sure that the Meta profile on your Quest headset is the same one you're trying to link. If you're signed into the wrong account:
- Log out of the current Meta account on your web browser.
- Log back in with the correct Meta account.
- Open Reviewer, and try to Open in VR again. You should see the correct account when attempting to pair now.
Using Open in VR has no visible effect
This usually means the headset didn't receive the message. Try these quick checks:
- Ensure your headset is connected to the internet.
- Restart the headset. This usually fetches missed requests, and lets new deep-links work properly.
- If you're a technical user and comfortable with reading logs, you can check the ADB (Android Debug Bridge) logs to see if the deep-link is arriving. You can also share your logs with us through the community forum for help with troubleshooting.
Link time out
Every time you tap Open link, we generate a fresh deep link good for one launch only. Links are only live for 60 minutes, so be sure to use them before time runs out!
