When you connect to a room in your account, the Pods > Chat menu option is missing and you cannot open a chat pod.


Adobe Connect Professional 7 has a new feature that allows a Connect Administrator to control which pods are available in all meeting rooms in the account. For example, Chat pods can be disabled in all meeting rooms in the account.


Enable Chat Pods for the whole account.

  1. Open the Connect Enterprise Manager.
  2. Go to Administration > Compliance and Control > Pods Management.
  3. In the Pod Management section, deselect the Disable Chat Pod, Q&A Pod and Instant Message Pod option.
  4. Click Save.

All meeting rooms in the account will display the Pods > Chat menu item and hosts will be able to open new Chat Pods.
