The Adobe Connect Add-in is required in order to use the 2-way Universal Voice feature in Adobe Connect 8. The workflow to enable this feature in your Meeting Room for guests without the Add-in is as follows:
1: Open a telephony enabled meeting room as a Host
2: Start teleconference with the following settings checked:
3: Once the conference is started, go to Audio ->Enable Microphone Rights for Participants
4: Now join this meeting room as guest without the Add-in and go to:
Audio->Connect My Audio ->By Computer
5: Guest will receive the prompt to install Add-in:
Note: "Enable Microphone Rights" can also be checked from the Start Meeting Audio Dialog box above, then following the last two steps as a guest.
