Also applies to Adobe Connect 8, Adobe Connect 9
Issue
Adobe Connect Meetings don't launch in the browser when using SSL from workstations running Ubuntu 10.04(LTS) with Firefox 3.6.4+ (and 4 Beta), configured with Flash Player 10.1.x and later. Attempts to connect stall at the "Connecting" phase.
Solution
Use the workaround below to trust whatever Certificate Authority (CA) signed the certificates you are using with Connect:
- In Firefox, go to http://secure.globalsign.net/cacert/orgv1. A "Downloading Certificate" window appears.
- Select Trust This CA to Identify Websites.
- Click OK.
- Restart Firefox.
Additional information
A bug in Firefox 3.6.4 and later causes this issue. Earlier versions of the browser function as expected. Licensed customers who have forced SSL enabled sometimes encounter this issue.
