Resolve payment failures by updating your card details and completing bank authentication to comply with RBI's recurring payment regulations.

If you're an Adobe Creative Cloud subscriber in India, your payment may fail due to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) e-mandate regulations for recurring payments. This directive applies to all recurring transactions made using Indian-issued debit or credit cards.

When attempting to renew your Adobe subscription, you may receive a payment failure notification via email or in your Adobe account. Your access to Adobe apps and services may be at risk of being suspended, even if your card has sufficient funds and is otherwise valid.

To resolve the issue, edit your card details from your Adobe account, and complete the bank authentication process:

Sign in to your Adobe account.

Select Edit billing and payment.

The Edit billing and payment button under Billing and payment in the Your plan section provides an option to add or edit payment details.
Selecting Edit billing and payment will open the Your payment method window.

In the Your payment method window, choose one of the following:

  • Select Add new to use a different card.
  • Select Edit to update your existing card.
The Add new and Edit buttons on Your payment method page provides you the option to add a new payment method or edit an existing one.
Select the preferred option to change or update your payment method.

Do one of the following:

  • If you want to continue using your existing Mastercard or Visa card, re-enter your card number and select Save.
  • If you're adding a new card, enter the details and select Save.

Your bank will send you an authentication request to approve the recurring payment mandate. Once authenticated, your payment should process successfully.
