Adobe Creative Cloud for Microsoft Teams

Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Teams bring creative work and teamwork together. With the Creative Cloud app for Microsoft Teams, designers can easily share their work, get feedback, and stay up-to-date on actions taken on their assets.

Note: Currently, Internet Explorer 11 or older versions are not supported. Use Microsoft Teams desktop app or open Microsoft Teams in other supported web browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Firefox.

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft Teams web account at https://teams.microsoft.com/, or download and use the Microsoft Teams Desktop app.

  2. Click Apps in the sidebar.

  3. Search for Adobe Creative Cloud under Apps, and click the app.

  4. In the pop-up, click Add to a team from the drop-down list.

  5. In the pop-up, type a channel or team name where you want to use the app.

  6. Click Set up to set up your Creative Cloud app as a tab and a connector.

    You can also open the Set up drop-down, and select any one of these options.

    You've successfully set up Creative Cloud for Microsoft Teams.

Collaborate on a Creative Cloud asset by sharing it in a team or channel.

Share assets in a tab

  1. Select the channel, and then click the + button to the right of the existing tabs list.

  2. In the Add a tab screen, choose Adobe Creative Cloud.

  3. Click Sign in with Adobe ID (if prompted), and sign in to your Creative Cloud account.

  4. Choose the asset from the list of Files or Libraries that you want to pin to the tab, and then click Save.

    A new tab with the asset’s name is added to the channel. Channel members can use this tab to share their feedback on the asset.

  5. To download the asset, click the  icon in the upper-right corner of the app. This opens the asset in the Creative Cloud website.

When you paste the public link of a Creative Cloud asset or a private XD link in a team or channel, a preview of the corresponding asset is displayed.

With public sharing, recipients get read-only access to your assets, which means they cannot upload, update, or delete them.

Remove a shared Creative Cloud assets from Teams

To remove access to a shared Creative Cloud asset, remove it from the Teams workspace.

  1. Go to the Teams tab from which you want to remove the shared asset.

  2. Click the arrow in the tab, and then select Remove.

You can share your Creative Cloud assets directly in your chats and posts.

  1. Open the Chat tab where you want to share the asset, and click the Creative Cloud icon.

    You can also click More Options (...) below the message compose box, and then click Adobe Creative Cloud.

  2. To choose an asset for sharing, do one of the following:

    • Choose an asset from the displayed list.
    • Search for an asset using the search box at the top, and then select one.

  3. A preview of the selected asset is displayed. Press Enter to share it.

The Creative Cloud bot sends messages directly to you whenever comments are left on links to Adobe XD prototypes, Creative Cloud Files, and Document Cloud files. To access the bot, click Chat in the left sidebar.

Who receives notifications?

  • The asset owner receives notifications when reviewers add comments, modify comments, or reply to comments.
  • Other users who are part of that thread or have been mentioned using @ will receive notifications.
Notifications for comments on your shared files

Notifications are enabled by default. You can manage them through the Creative Cloud bot.

  1. Select Chat in the sidebar, and then select Adobe Creative Cloud from the Recent list.

  2. Type Notifications Off to disable them. Then press Enter.

    You can turn them back on by typing in Notifications Off, and then pressing Enter.

    If you've signed in using the Tab interface for the first time, you see that the notifications are Off by default. To enable them, use the Notifications On command.

Not receiving notifications in Creative Cloud bot?

If you are not receiving notifications for the files shared by you or others, go to the Adobe Creative Cloud bot in Microsoft Teams. Then, type Notifications On in the bot and press Enter. Once done, you start receiving all notifications.

When adding Adobe Creative Cloud to a team, you have the choice to set up the app as a connector. Connectors allow link owners to subscribe a channel to receive notifications and messages for your link. You can connect links to XD files and your files stored in Creative Cloud assets.

  1. Go to the channel where you want to set up a connector.

  2. Click the More Options (...) icon in the upper-right corner, and select Connectors.

  3. Search for Adobe Creative Cloud, and click Configure.

  4. Click Sign in to sign in to your Adobe account.

  5. Paste the link that you want to configure. You can only paste links owned by you.

  6. Enable or disable comment and event notifications, as needed.

  7. Click Save.

    The channel begins to receive notifications for the shared link.

Connector setup limitations you should know about

  • You can only connect links to XD files and your files stored in Creative Cloud assets.
  • You cannot share link to a password-protected XD file.
  • You can only connect links owned by you.
  • Your channel members cannot access assets or links when you are signed out of the app. Reauthenticate to enable the activity stream feature again.
  • You cannot change the link once it's connected to a channel activity.

View all configured links for a channel

Channel members can view all links connected to their channel.

  1. Go to the channel for which you want to view the connected links.

  2. Click the More Options (...) icon in the upper-right corner, and select Connectors.

  4. Click the arrow that specifies the number of connected links.

If you are the link owner, you can manage notification settings for a connected link.

  1. Go to the channel where you have connected a link.

  2. Click the More Options (...) icon in the upper-right corner, and select Connectors.

  5. Click Manage.

  6. Change the event and comment notifications for the link you had connected.

    A notification goes out in the channel about the changes in notification settings.

To share your feedback with us, open the bot, and type Feedback followed by your message. Then press Enter.
