Error | Installer is damaged

Find solution to the error "Installer file may be damaged" while installing Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements

Issue

When you try to install Photoshop Elements or Premiere Elements, you get the following error:

The installation cannot continue as the installer files may be damaged. Download the installer file again.

Solution

Follow the steps below to resolve this issue:

  1. Open the folder where the Elements installer files are located.

  2. Right-click the Set-up.exe file and select Properties.

  3. Select the Digital Signatures tab.

  4. Select the signature displayed in the Signature list and click Details.

  5. From the Digital Signature Details dialog box, click View Certificate.

  6. Click Install Certificate.

  7. Select Local Machine and click Next.

  8. Follow the on-screen steps to finish the installation.

  9. Once you get the "The import was successful" message, try the installation again.
