Choose the Select subject tool from the Select nested tools in the toolbar. It automatically isolates the main subject from the active layer of your image.

With selections, you can define an area that you can further edit to enhance your images. You can easily use any of the selection tools in Photoshop to quickly make a selection in Photoshop directly on the web browser.

The Select subject tool saves your time by quickly isolating the most prominent subjects from the background in a single click. It gives the best results when your composition is simple, spare, and free of reflective surfaces. It's also a good fit for images with high contrast between the main subject and the background, and sharp edges around the main subject. You can further refine the automatic selection made with Select subject using other selection tools.

Use any of the other tools under Select to clean up the initial selection, if necessary. You will see associated options in the options bar at the top of the workspace.
You can also use the Contextual Task Bar at the bottom of your workspace to Select more or Select less to add to your current selection or subtract from it as necessary.

(Optional) You can further refine your selection using other options available in the contextual taskbar — Generative fill, Create mask, Adjust, Invert selection, Content-aware fill, or Deselect.
Also, you can select the three-dots icon to reveal more options to work with — Refine edge, Transform selection, Select similar, Crop from selection, Hide selection bar, and Reset selection bar location.
