How to add a Background Image to a Topic or Topics.

Solution

This can be done by specifying a background image in the style sheet(s) used by your topics or by applying an inline background to each topic. Remember that a background image needs to be added to your projects baggage folder.

To add an inline background image:

  1. Click the "Topics" tab in the lower right of the screen
  2. Select the topic(s) to format. To select multiple topics, press and hold the CTRL key while you click each one.
  3. Right click one of the selected topics.
  4. Choose PROPERTIES
  5. Click the "Appearance" tab
  6. In the "Backgrounds Option" section, click on the "Use Image" checkbox
  7. If you want the image to appear as a watermark, click on the "Display Image as Watermark" checkbox.
  8. From the "Image" field, browse to and select the desired image file
  9. Click the "OK" button
  10. Click the "Project" tab in the lower left of the screen.
  11. Right-click on the "Baggage Files" folder (located on the left hand RoboHelp HTML pane).
  12. Select NEW BAGGAGE FILE
  13. Browse and select this same file you selected as the background in Step # 7
  14. Click the "OPEN" button
  15. Click FILE from the menu bar.
  16. Click SAVE ALL.
  17. Generate WebHelp or HTML Help and test your project
