Enable authentication with digital identity providers

The Adobe Acrobat Sign Digital Identity Gateway allows organizations to select from various third-party digital identity providers for identity verification, enhancing security and compliance. Using these providers for user authentication offers flexible and enhanced verification options tailored to your specific needs.

The Enable Digital Identify Authentication custom setting in Salesforce allow you to display the list of Digital Identity Providers for verifying recipient identity. This list depends on the identity providers selected in Acrobat Sign under Account – Digital Identity.

Enable digital identity authentication

  1. Log in to your Salesforce account and go to Setup > Custom code > Custom Settings.

  2. On the Custom Settings page, select Adobe Sign Settings from the list.

  3. On the Adobe Sign Settings page, select ManageEdit

  4.  Locate Enable Digital Identity Authentication lisitng and select the checkbox.

    To enable digital identity authentication, find the setting and select the checkbox for its listing.

  5. Select Save.

    Digital Identify Authentication is now enabled in your Acrobat Sign for Salesforce account. 

Implement digital identity authentication

Once the digital identity authentication is enabled, you can access the third-party providers from the Recipients section in the Agreements or Agreement Templates workflow.  

To implement digital identity authentication in agreements:

  1. Go to Acrobat Sign for Salesforce and select Agreements > + New Agreement.

  2. In the Recipients section, select a signer role, signer id type, provide the signer details, and then select the authentication tool.

    To enable any kind of authentication, select the authentication tool and select a desired option.

  3. In the Identity Verification dialog box that opens, select a desired provider from the available options and then select Ok.

    Note:

    You can only access the third-party providers that are enabled in your Acrobat Sign account. If no Digital Identity providers are enabled, you won’t see any identity providers in Salesforce, even after enabling the setting.

    You can select any identity verifcation for the agreement recipients. The available options are based on your Acrobat Sign account settings.
