MISSION: People dressed in Indian festive wear

We’re looking to source photos of individuals of all ages/genders dressed in traditional Indian festive wear.  

For this Mission, upload a series of pictures of one person dressed in Indian festive wear.   

• Send us a minimum of 500-1000 images of one person per submission. 

• Title your mission submission with the following structure: [model’s name]- [age] - [gender] (optional) - [ethnicity] (optional) - [description of the type of clothing worn and situation] (e.g. woman wearing a Saree in her garden).

• You can submit content for this mission up to 20 times, but each submission must show a different person. 

• Images for this mission require a model release but do not need metadata or post-processing.

• Images submitted to Missions should NOT be currently on Adobe Stock. Submitting images that already exist on Adobe Stock will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions. 

• You will receive the payment displayed in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal for each approved Mission submission. Please note, you will receive that total amount for each accepted Mission submission of 500-1000 assets.

We are looking for a range of people:

• Capture portraits looking/not looking at the camera.

• Optionally, include subjects engaged in everyday solo acts (using a phone, cooking, on a computer, interacting with their clothing) or celebratory activities (dancing, praying, arranging diyas, wrapping a gift, decorating for a festival, etc.) 

You can photograph different clothing within the series. Make sure the clothing does not contain any brand names, pictures, or logos. When selecting clothing options, consider some of these traditional Indian festive wears that feature a variety of colors, textures, and styles.

• Lehengas

• Anarkali Suits 

• Sherwanis

• Kurtas 

• Salwar Kameez

• Bandhgala Jackets 

• Ghagras

• Turban 

• Jewelry

Feel free to use whatever lighting (natural/artificial) you have at your disposal. When photographing celebrations/festivals, prioritize natural light that accurately represents the real-life scenarios embracing diversity in terms of lighting conditions, times of the day, and seasons.  

You can photograph everything in one or multiple locations (indoors or outdoors):  

• Indoors: anywhere at home, in a photo studio with a background, etc. 

• Outdoors: on the street, at a festival celebration, in a park, outside against a wall etc. 

It’s okay for a series of pictures in each Mission to be somewhat similar but submitted pictures cannot be identical or nearly identical. We expect each image in a series to be unique to ensure we get as much variety as possible for AI/ML training purposes. Images that are too similar and repetitive will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions. Crop + Perspective

Images should showcase full-length shots to capture the entirety of the outfits, as well as close-up/medium shots that highlight intricate details. Similar pictures within a series are ok, but submitted pictures cannot be exact duplicates of one another. We expect each picture in a series to provide different information, so consider varying pictures as follows:

• Crop: close-up, medium shot (above waist), knee shot (above knee), full body, etc. 

• Variations straight on, 45-degree angles, 90-degree angles, etc.

• Aspect ratios: Shoot both vertical and horizontal for each submission. 

• Reviewing and processing payment of accepted submissions can take up to 15 business days.

• This Mission will be open for submissions until at least March 21, 2024.

• The Mission may be extended until we have sourced sufficient content.

• We will not accept generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) content in this Mission. 

• Submitted files must be in JPEG format; the ideal size is ~15MP.

• Images for this Mission require a model release.
