Mission:
We are looking to source a series of high-quality sports images featuring one person or groups captured from various angles and perspectives.
Deliverables:
Upload 400-600 images per Mission submission of a person or group playing one type of sport.
You can submit up to 10 Missions, but each Mission submission should show significant differences in people, location, or sport.
You can also submit content from your archives. In that case, you don't need to stick to our guideline for one type of sport per submission. You can mix multiple series from past sports shoots into a single Mission submission to meet the 400-600 image requirement.
Images for this Mission require a model release.
No need for metadata or post-processing.
Images submitted to Missions should NOT currently be in Adobe Stock.
Images submitted to Missions will not appear or be available for license on Adobe Stock.
You will receive the payment displayed in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal for each approved Mission submission. Please note you will receive the total amount for each accepted Mission submission of 400-600 images.
Submission deadline is May 23rd, 2024.
Title Your Mission Submission:
Providing a short description of the sport photographed.
Example: Black female running and stretching on a mountain during sunset.
Subject Guidance:
We are open to seeing a diverse range of people representing various ages, genders, body sizes, and physical abilities. Subjects can include both athletes and everyday people engaging casually in sports.
Each Mission submission upload should amount to 400-600 images. Here are some tips for optimizing your productions:
1. One sport: Each Mission submission should focus on a single type of sport, such as basketball, soccer, tennis, swimming, running, cycling, yoga, etc.
2. Action Shots: Capture compelling, high-quality action shots of your subjects playing a sport. Each image should contribute to the overall narrative and showcase the essence of the sport and its participants.
3. Include portraits and candid moments: Augment your submission by capturing portraits and candid moments of subjects during pre- and post-sports activities.
4. Photograph individuals separately: In larger group submissions, pull aside individuals to capture singles or portraits on the side. Not everyone from the same group must always be in the same shots.
Crop + Perspective:
A variety of images is essential to your submission; leverage focal length, angles/heights and camera-to-subject distance to your advantage to produce the most varied dataset possible per Mission submission.
Locations:
Images can be taken in various locations where sports are commonly practiced, including stadiums, fields, courts, gyms, parks, beaches, and recreational centers, indoors and outdoors. However, pay attention to potential intellectual property (IP) issues such as logos, brand names, and advertisements on walls, scoreboards, and banners.
Clothing & Sports Equipment:
You can photograph subjects wearing appropriate sports attire, such as uniforms or workout clothes, as long as brand names or logos aren’t visible. Be cautious of visible logos or trademarks when using sports equipment as props. If branding is unavoidable, covering logos with matching-colored tape is acceptable.
Any Mission submissions with IP issues (e.g., logos and brand names on clothes and shoes) will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions.
Similar Content:
Avoid submitting lengthy series of near duplicates. It’s okay for a Mission submission to include a few series from the same scene, but only to a point. Missions with images that are too similar and repetitive will be rejected.
Please see this link for in-depth information about our tolerance for near-similar series content.
