MISSION: People with unique and original hairstyles

We’re looking to source photos featuring people of all ages/genders showcasing the diversity and creativity of their hairstyles. Whether it's vibrant colors, intricate braids, avant-garde designs, or any other distinctive hairstyle, we want to highlight the creative expressions of personal style through hair.  

For this Mission, upload a series of pictures of one person’s unique and original hairstyle.

• Send us a minimum of 500-1000 images of one person per submission. 

• Title your mission submission with the following structure: [model’s name]- [age] - [gender] (optional) - [ethnicity] (optional).

• You can submit content for this mission up to 20 times, but each submission must show a different person. 

• Images for this mission require a model release but do not need metadata or post processing.

• Images submitted to Missions should NOT be currently on Adobe Stock. Submitting images that already exist on Adobe Stock will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions. 

• You will receive the payment displayed in the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal for each approved Mission submission. Please note, you will receive that total amount for each accepted Mission submission of 500-1000 assets.

We are looking for a range of people representing all ages, genders, ethnicities, body sizes, and physical abilities. We encourage contributors to capture the essence of each subject's unique look, ensuring that the unique hairstyle is the primary focus of each photograph.

• Capture portraits looking/not looking at the camera. 

• Optional – subject can be engaged in solo activities like using their phone, dancing, walking, etc. 

You can photograph different clothing within the series. Make sure the clothing does not contain any brand names, pictures, or logos. 

• Accessories for the face (ex. Glasses) and hair (hats, bows, hair ties) are allowed but should be kept to a minimum to avoid drawing attention away from the hairstyle. 

Feel free to use whatever lighting (natural/artificial) you have at your disposal.  

You can photograph everything in one or multiple locations (indoors or outdoors). 

• Indoors: anywhere at home, in a photo studio with a solid background, etc.  

• Outdoors: on the street, in a park, against interesting backgrounds etc.

It’s okay for a series of pictures in each Mission to be somewhat similar but submitted pictures cannot be identical or nearly identical. We expect each image in a series to be unique to ensure we get as much variety as possible for AI/ML training purposes. Images that are too similar and repetitive will be rejected during the moderation process and contributors won’t be compensated for such submissions. Images should be photographed from the waist up so that the hairstyle is the main focal point of each image, as well as close-ups that highlight intricate details. Similar pictures within a series are ok, but submitted pictures cannot be exact duplicates of one another. We expect each picture in a series to provide different information, so consider varying pictures as follows:

• Variations straight on, 45-degree angles, 90-degree angles, etc. 

• Aspect ratios: Shoot both vertical and horizontal for each submission.

• Camera angles: dramatic, cinematic angles taken from different heights.  

• Reviewing and processing payment of accepted submissions can take up to 15 business days.

• This Mission will be open for submissions until at least February 16, 2024. 

• The Mission may be extended until we have sourced sufficient content.

• We will not accept generative AI (Artificial Intelligence) content in this Mission. 

• Submitted files must be in JPEG format; the ideal size is ~15MP.

• Images for this Mission require a model release.
