Image import does not automatically start after plugging camera in | Lightroom CC

After plugging in your camera, Lightroom should be able to automatically import your images. If the auto-play settings are not configured correctly, Lightroom will not be available as an option to auto-import your files.

Use this configuration script to setup Lightroom with the Windows Auto Play system.

Download the LightroomAutoplayFix.zip file to a location that is easy to find, such as your Desktop.

Use WinZip or similar application to extract LrightroomAutoplayFix.reg from the ZIP file to a location that is easy to location, such as your desktop.

Double-click LightroomAutoplayFix.reg to run it. Click OK when asked if you are sure you would like to continue.

Restart your computer.

Plug-in and turn on your camera to have Windows auto-play the device.
