Learn how to export your timeline as a video or image sequence in Adobe Photoshop. Select formats, define the frame range, and adjust the quality settings.
Before exporting, save your project, ensure you have sufficient disk space, and complete all necessary edits.
Enter a name and select the location to save:
- Enter a name for your video or image sequence.
- Choose where to save the file.
- (Optional) Select Create New Subfolder and enter a folder name.
Select export method:
- Choose either Adobe Media Encoder or Photoshop Image Sequence.
(Optional) Select format:
- Choose from the Format dropdown. Options vary by export method.
(Optional) Configure export settings:
- If you choose Adobe Media Encoder, set the following:
Format: Choose video format
Preset: Select predefined settings
Size: Set dimensions
Frame Rate: Set frames per second
Field Order: Choose the interlacing option
Aspect: Set aspect ratio
Color: Manage: Enable/disable color management - If you choose Photoshop Image Sequence, set the following:
Format: Choose image format
Starting: Set initial frame number
Digits: Set number of digits in filename
Size: Set dimensions
Frame Rate: Set frames per second
Set frame Range:
Choose one of the following options:
- All Frames: Exports the entire timeline.
- Start Frame and End Frame: Exports a specific range
- Work Area: Exports frames defined by the Timeline work area bar
(Optional) Configure Render Options:
- Set Alpha Channel to None, Straight–Unmatted, or Premultiplied, depending on how you want to handle transparency.
Export video files.
- Select Render to export your video or image sequence.
Tip
Always preview your export settings before rendering to ensure the desired output quality and file size.
