Add files that are already available in All files to another collection without uploading them again.
Use this method when a file already exists in Analyzer and you want to include it in one or more additional collections. Adding the file to another collection does not create another uploaded copy.
Before you begin
Make sure:
- You can access the collection you want to add the file to.
- The file already appears in All files.
Add a file to a collection from All files
Select each file you want to add.
Select the Add to collection icon.
Choose whether to add the files to a new or existing collection.
To use an existing collection, select Use Existing Collection, and then choose the collection from the Select An Existing Collection dropdown field.
Confirm the addition.
What happens after you add a file
- Analyzer adds the file to the selected collection.
- The same file can belong to multiple collections.
- Analyzer does not upload or process another copy of the file.
- Refresh the page if the collection does not update immediately.
When to use this method
Use Add to collection when:
- The file already exists in All files.
- You want to use the same file in multiple collections.
- You want to avoid uploading the file again.
