Remove a file from a collection using Analyzer in Sign

Last updated on Aug 17, 2026

Remove a file from an existing collection without deleting it from All files.

Use this action when a file no longer belongs in a collection but should remain available for reuse in other collections.

Before you begin

Make sure you can access the collection you want to edit.

Only the collection owner can delete a file from the collection.

Remove a file from a collection

Open the collection you want to edit.

Select one or more files to remove.

Select the Delete icon.

Choose the appropriate action:

  • Remove selected file from this collection removes the file only from the current collection. The file remains available in All files and in other collections.
  • Delete selected file from my account permanently deletes the file from All files and removes it from every collection. This option is available only to the file owner.

Confirm the action.

  • The file is no longer relevant to the collection.
