From Home, select + New, and then select Link files.
A linked collection connects Analyzer to a specific SharePoint folder. Analyzer automatically reflects files that are added, updated, or removed in that folder.
Linked collections use SharePoint as the system of record, so you cannot manually add or remove files from the collection.
How linked collections work
When you connect a SharePoint folder:
- Analyzer adds or removes documents as the source folder changes.
- You cannot upload files directly to the linked collection.
- You must delete documents or reorganize folders in SharePoint.
- Analyzer does not modify the original source files.
- Access to source documents remains governed by SharePoint permissions.
When to use a linked collection
Use a linked collection when you want to:
- Analyze documents already managed in SharePoint.
- Keep the collection aligned with a changing SharePoint folder.
- Avoid manually uploading and maintaining files.
- Keep analysis inputs current as the source folder changes.
Create a linked collection
Select the Account that contains the source documents, or add a new connection to another account.
Enter your email address and authenticate the connection if prompted.
Select the SharePoint folder you want to synchronize.
Analyzer creates the linked collection and begins synchronizing documents from the selected folder.
Linked collection behavior
- You cannot manually add or remove files from a linked collection.
- Synchronization timing depends on the external system and connection status.
- SharePoint permissions control access to source documents.
