Open Attributes.
Disable an attribute when you want to stop using it for extraction without deleting its definition.
Disabling an attribute prevents Analyzer from applying it during future extraction or collection refreshes. The attribute remains available in the Attributes list and can be enabled again later.
Before you begin
Keep in mind:
- The attribute must already exist.
- Disabling an attribute does not remove it from previously exported files.
- Existing extracted values remain until you refresh the collection.
Disable an attribute
Locate the attribute or attribute group you want to disable.
Turn off the Enable toggle.
- You can disable an individual attribute or an entire attribute group.
- Use the same toggle to enable it again later.
When prompted, select Confirm.
What happens when you disable an attribute
When an attribute is disabled:
- Analyzer excludes it from future extraction runs.
- Analyzer does not apply it when collections are refreshed.
- Existing extracted values remain until the collection is refreshed.
- The attribute definition remains available and can be enabled again.
Disabling an attribute does not delete it.
When to disable an attribute
Disable an attribute when you need to:
- Temporarily stop using it.
- Retire it without removing its configuration.
- Prevent further extraction while you review or revise its definition.
