Creative Cloud desktop app does not sync files 

When you try to turn on file syncing In the Creative Cloud desktop app, a spinning wheel is briefly displayed and then the Start Syncing button is displayed again. Files are not synced. Attempting to repeat the process results in the same behavior.

If you are able to sync some files but not others, see Error: "Unable to sync files".

Solution: Delete options.tix file

This issue occurs if the path to the local folder (localURL) is missing from the cloud sync settings file (options.tix) in the CoreSync data directory. To resolve the issue, delete the options.tix file. Follow these steps for your operating system.

Windows

  1. Do one of the following, depending on your version of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    In the File menu, select Exit Creative Cloud.  Or, press Ctrl+W.

    Click the three vertical dots icon  in the upper-right corner of Creative Cloud desktop app, and then select Quit.

  2. Click the Start menu, type cmd in the search box, and press Enter. Command Prompt opens.

  3. Run the following command in Command Prompt:

    del %APPDATA%\Adobe\CoreSync\options.tix
  4. Launch the Creative Cloud desktop app and start syncing.

  5. Click the Gear icon and do one of the following depending on your version of the Creative Cloud desktop app:

    • In the left pane, click Syncing, then click Resume Syncing.
    • Click Resume File Syncing.

Mac OS

  1. Do one of the following, depending on your version of the Creative Cloud desktop app.

    In the Creative Cloud menu, click Quit Creative Cloud. Or, press command + Q.

    Click the three vertical dots icon  in the upper-right corner of Creative Cloud desktop app, and then select Quit.

  2. Navigate to Mac HD/Applications/Utilities or use the Spotlight search to open the Terminal utility.

  3. In Terminal, run the following command:

    rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CoreSync/options.tix
  4. Launch the Creative Cloud desktop app.

  5. Click the Gear icon and do one of the following depending on your version of the Creative Cloud desktop app:

    • In the left pane, click Syncing, then click Resume Syncing.
    • Click Resume File Syncing.
