Issue
On WebHelp output published from RoboHelp 9 (versions 9.0.1.232 and earlier), when you enter a search term and press Enter, the search operation doesn't launch. You are using the Google Chrome browser.
Solution
To resolve this issue, do the following:
-
-
Download the RoboHelp 9.0.1.262-Chrome.zip file and extract it to a folder such as C:\Patch.
-
Navigate to the [install folder]\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock folder and create a backup copy of the whform.js file. You can revert to the original file if you encounter problems with RoboHelp after you overwrite the existing file. Typically, RoboHelp is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe RoboHelp 9\ folder on a Windows 7 machine.
-
In the extracted folder, navigate to the \WebHelp5Ext\template_stock folder and copy the whform.js file to the [install folder]\RoboHTML\WebHelp5Ext\template_stock folder. Ensure that you overwrite the existing file.
-
Restart RoboHelp 9.
