Learn how to separate audio from a video clip in Adobe Express.

Extract audio lets you separate the audio track from a video so you can enhance, edit, or reuse it in other scenes or projects. Use this feature to work with audio independently from the video.

Follow along with any video project and learn how to extract the audio.

Open a video project in Adobe Express that includes audio.

Select the video on the canvas.

In the Video panel, select Extract audio. The audio track is separated from the video and appears in the timeline.

Select a video, then choose Extract audio from the Audio panel.

After extracting the audio, you can Enhance speech, mute the audio, or apply Fade.

To reuse the audio, select the three‑dot icon on the audio track, then select Copy to add it to another project or drag the track to another scene.

Tip

Extracting audio mutes the original video track, so you can re-extract it as many times as needed.
