Learn how to import PDFs as editable Adobe Express projects, allowing you to edit text, images, and layouts.

Import and enhance your old PDF files in a few simple steps.

Before you begin:

To ensure a smooth import experience, review the following requirements:

  • PDFs must be under 99MB.
  • PDFs must not exceed 99 pages.
  • Remove any passwords or restrictions before importing.

Import a single PDF file

Open Adobe Express and select Start from your content.

Upload a PDF file from your device and select Open.

The file is converted into an editable Adobe Express file. You can access the saved file in Your stuff > Files.

Import multiple PDFs

Open Adobe Express and select Your stuff from the left panel.

Select Create file > Import from other apps

Drag and drop or browse the files from your device.

Once the upload is complete, select Open to customize the file in the Adobe Express editor or Import another file.

The file is converted into an editable Adobe Express file. To access the saved file, navigate to Your stuff > Files.

Note

Adobe Express makes your PDF editable, which means complex layouts or uncommon fonts might be replaced during import. If you need a pixel-perfect version, such as for forms or official documents, edit in Adobe Acrobat instead.
