Quick start guide | Project Pulsar (Beta)

Download Project Pulsar from the Google Play store to a supported headset.

For full access to Project Pulsar enter your exclusive access code at redeem.adobe.com. You will have received your exclusive access code in an email when you registered your Android XR device with Samsung.

Open a sample project

Note

If you are not signed in, you can still open sample projects, move 3D elements in the viewport, add objects from the element library, create custom 3D text, and preview your project.

To open a sample project, tap the Try now button on any of the three sample project cards to launch it in the Pulsar editor and start exploring.

Upload your own media

Note

You must be signed in to your Adobe account and have entered your exclusive access code to import and spatialize media, add audio, open saved projects, and export 2D and 3D videos.

On the Home page, tap the Upload media button to choose a video or image from your device or Google Drive to be spatialized. Once your media is processed, it will automatically open in the Pulsar editor, where you can composite 3D elements and add customized 3D text into your spatialized media.

It is normal for your media to take some time to spatialize.

Open a Pulsar project

Select the My projects tab at the bottom of the home page to find your previously created Pulsar projects. Tap on the project thumbnail to open.

Adjust Pulsar for comfort

By default, when you open a Pulsar project, you’ll see a large spatial viewport, which may cause discomfort for some users.

To work in a traditional 2D viewport:

  • In the editor, ensure Scene at the bottom of the Toolbar is active.
  • Toggle off Enable spatial viewport.

Disabling the spatial viewport does not affect the spatialization of your media—you can still export spatial media and composite elements. It simply changes how the viewport is displayed in the Pulsar editor.

Pulsar is designed for right-hand use by default. To switch to a left-hand layout:

  1. Click your profile image on the home page or in editor.
  2. Select Settings option
  3. Toggle on ‘Side panel on left’.

Export your project

To export your media, use the Export button at the top right of the Timeline panel and choose your export options. Learn more about export options here.
