Pulsar editor | Project Pulsar (Beta)

Project Pulsar’s unique spatial video editor is where you add and modify 3D elements and text.

With the Pulsar editor you can:

Overview

Top bar

From the Top bar in the editor, you can:

  • View the project’s name.
  • Return to the Pulsar home page (when you are in the editor).
  • Enter the Home space.

Timeline

When no object is selected in the scene, you can:

When a 3D object is selected in the scene, you can:

  • Select Edit text to change the text.
  • Select Presets to browse and quickly apply a style from a curated list.
  • Select Stylize to adjust the font, color, and material of selected text.
  • Select 3D settings to change the depth of the 3D text and whether the selected text receives scene lighting.
  • Duplicate or reset the rotation of the selected text object.

Side panel

Elements

Browse the elements library.


  1. Organized by category.
  2. View all assets in a category when more than 8 elements are available.

Elements

When the In project tab is selected a list of any added 3D elements or text objects are visible.

  • Quickly select any added 3D element or text object in your Pulsar project.
  • Rename, duplicate, or delete placed elements.

Text

When the Presets view is selected in the timeline panel.


  • Add a new text object.
  • Choose a text preset from a list.

Text

When the Stylize view is selected in the timeline panel.


  • Choose a font from a list.
  • Change text color.
  • Copy and paste color.

Text

When the 3D settings view is selected in the timeline panel.


  • Adjust the 3D depth of a text object.
  • Toggle whether or not the text object receives lighting.

Audio

Adjust or add audio to your project.


  • Adjust the source video volume if it has audio.
  • Add, remove, or replace an external audio file.
  • Adjust the external audio file volume.

Lighting

When the Lighting source tab is selected, settings for adjusting the generated light settings and shadow settings is available.

  • Adjust the overall intensity of the lighting.
  • Adjust the shadow direction and height.
  • Toggle shadows on and off.
  • Adjust the shadow strength.

Lighting

When the Post processing tab is selected, settings for adjusting the lighting look are available.

  • Adjust the overall exposure.
  • Adjust the overall saturation.
  • Toggle if the adjustments are applied to everything or just added elements.

Scene

Adjust the spatial depth settings.


  • Set the spatial depth of your project.
