Learn what to do when the uninstalled apps appear as up-to-date in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

The Creative Cloud desktop app may show uninstalled apps as "Up to date" even when they aren't installed on your computer. This can prevent you from reinstalling them. This issue occurs when the Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't correctly detect that an app has been uninstalled. 

App wasn’t uninstalled using the uninstaller

If you didn't use Adobe uninstallers to remove Creative Cloud apps, they may still appear as updated in the Creative Cloud desktop app. To fix this, use Adobe uninstallers to properly remove your Creative Cloud apps.

opm. db file is corrupted

Due to a corrupted opm.db file, an uninstalled app may appear as updated in the Creative Cloud desktop app. To resolve this, delete the opm.db file from your computer. When you reopen the Creative Cloud desktop app, it will automatically create a new, uncorrupted file.

Creative Cloud desktop app needs to be updated

You may encounter this issue if your Creative Cloud desktop app is outdated. To resolve the issue, update your Creative Cloud desktop app.

Go to the Creative Cloud download page and select Download Creative Cloud.

Double-click the downloaded file to begin installation:

  • macOS: Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg
  • Windows: Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe

Follow the on-screen instructions.

After the installation, sign in to your apps again.

Creative Cloud installation is glitched

A Creative Cloud desktop app installation issue can cause uninstalled apps to appear as updated. To resolve this, perform a clean installation of your Creative Cloud desktop app.

Download and run the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner tool.

Follow the tool's instructions to remove all Adobe apps.

Restart your computer.

Sign in and install your apps again.
