Import attribute definitions from a CSV file to create new attributes or replace existing configurations.
Uploading attribute definitions applies the configuration contained in a CSV file to your Adobe Acrobat Analyzer account. Use this feature to migrate attributes between environments, restore saved configurations, update existing attributes with new values, or standardize attribute definitions across teams.
Before you begin
- The CSV file must follow the format generated by the Download attributes export.
- Review the file to confirm field names and values are correct.
- Understand that uploading a duplicate attribute replaces the existing attribute definition.
Upload attribute definitions
-
-
Select the ellipsis (…) menu.
-
Select Upload attributes.
-
Choose the CSV file from your local system.
During upload, a message indicates that processing is in progress.
After processing completes, the imported attributes appear in the Attributes list.
What happens during upload
When you upload a CSV file:
- Each row is processed as an attribute definition.
- New attributes are created if they do not already exist.
- If an uploaded attribute matches an existing attribute, the existing definition is replaced.
- Invalid rows are skipped or flagged for correction.
Review imported attributes to confirm configuration settings before using them in collections.
When to upload attribute definitions
Upload attribute definitions when you need to:
- Recreate attributes in a new environment.
- Restore attributes from a saved configuration file.
- Apply standardized attribute configurations across teams.
- Bulk-create or update multiple attributes at once.
