Select an AI model for generative control

Learn how to choose between different AI models to finetune generative results in Adobe Photoshop.

Select File > Open to select and open an image.

Select the area to add, remove, or modify content using Selection Brush   or any other selection tool.

Select Generative Fill  .

In the Contextual Task Bar, select the model selector to view available AI models.

Review the model options grouped as Adobe models and Partner models:

  • Adobe models: Firefly Image 5Firefly Fill & ExpandFirefly Image 1
  • Partner models: Gemini 3.1 (with Nano Banana 2), Gemini 3 (with Nano Banana Pro), Gemini 2.5 (with Nano Banana), FLUX.2 proFLUX.1 Kontext [pro]
Tip

  • Hover over a model to view additional details, then select the model you want to use.
  • Enter a prompt and then select Generate .
