Photoshop crashes when you use the Remove tool

  • Update your GPU drivers to the latest version.
  • Select Preferences > Image Processing and then choose More stable under Remove Tool Processing.

A message appears Required components are being downloaded. Check back later to use the tool once the download is complete.

Wait for the download to complete. The required components are downloaded only once. Do not cancel the download or select Go back to previous tool.

An error message appears There was an error downloading the components.

  • Check that your computer is connected to the Internet.
  • Ensure you have at least 1 GB of free disk space.
  • Restart Photoshop and select Remove tool again.
