隨著 Acrobat 2021 年 9 月版和 Acrobat Reader (v21.007.20091) 的推出，Internet Explorer 的 Adobe PDF 外掛程式已經認證可在 Microsoft Edge 的 IE 模式下執行。
即使在 2022 年 6 月 15 日之後，Acrobat 和 Acrobat Reader 安裝程式仍將繼續安裝以 Internet Explorer 為基礎的 PDF 外掛程式。在 2022 年 6 月 15 日之前，Internet Explorer 和 Microsoft Edge 的 IE 模式均支援該外掛程式。而 2022 年 6 月 15 日之後，只有 Microsoft Edge 的 IE 模式支援該外掛程式。Adobe 將放棄支援 Internet Explorer 外掛程式，並且不會主動測試或修正在 Internet Explorer 11 上回報或發現的錯誤。不過，我們仍會繼續支援 Microsoft Edge 的 IE 模式。
Adobe Acrobat Create PDF 外掛程式
Microsoft Edge 目前不允許安裝 Acrobat PDFMaker 增益集。2022 年 6 月 15 日之後，不論是 Internet Explorer 或 Microsoft Edge 的 IE 模式，都將不再支援建立 PDF 的動作，例如「列印網頁」、「將網頁轉換/新增至 PDF」。

Acrobat 和 Acrobat Reader 使用 Internet Explorer 的內嵌控制項進行登入。隨著 Internet Explorer 終止服務，Acrobat 和 Acrobat Reader 即將從 Internet Explorer 改為使用 Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) 進行登入工作流程。
- 自 Acrobat 的 2022 年 1 月版和 Acrobat Reader (v21.011.20039) 起開始提供 Continuous 版號類別。
- 自 Acrobat 2020 (v20.005.30314) 的 2022 年 3 月版和 Acrobat 2017 (v17.012.30205) 起開始提供 Classic 版號類別。
