Collaborate using Team Projects

Last updated on Sep 1, 2026

Learn about working with Team Projects and collaborative working in Adobe After Effects without additional hardware.

Team Projects allows multiple people to work together on the same project. Instead of creating and exchanging separate copies of a project, collaborators work from a shared project that is stored in the cloud.

Each person can contribute their own changes and synchronize with updates made by other collaborators. This helps keep everyone working from the same project while allowing team members to work independently and merge their contributions as needed.

  • Collaborate using cloud-based projects: Use cloud-based projects to collaborate with others without installing additional hardware.
  • Invite collaborators: Invite individuals or groups to new or existing Team Projects so they can collaborate from anywhere.
  • View collaborator status: View who has access to the project and whether collaborators are currently online or offline.
  • Identify active editors: Use visual indicators to see who's editing the project and where they're working.
  • Publish changes: Publish your edits in a few clicks to make them available to collaborators almost immediately.
  • Continue working offline: Keep editing when your internet connection is temporarily unavailable. Your changes sync when you're back online.
