Learn how to get started with creating a video from scratch in Adobe Express.

Follow along with any design to create a video.

  1. On the Adobe Express homepage, select Start from your content to upload a video from your device.

  2. Select Create new, then select the original aspect ratio or a suggested size.

  3. Select +Add scene from the right of the timeline to add a new scene to the video.

  4. Drag and drop Adobe Stock photos or videos from the Media panel directly into your scene or upload your own files from your device.

  5. Hover over a scene to reveal the trim handles and drag them to shorten or lengthen the duration of the scene.

    Tip:

    Learn how to locate timed objects in your scene and adjust the layer timing.

  6. Select Download to save the video to your device.

Tip:

Use Scene view to quickly build and structure your project—set scene durations, mute all scenes, apply transitions, trim clips, reorder media, and add assets from your device or Adobe Stock. For frame-accurate edits, just toggle back to Selected layer.
