Imported Illustrator PDFs in Adobe Express grow in size after export

Under review

App version Adobe Express
Impacted device types Desktop
Last updated February 9, 2026

Summary

When exporting PDFs, the system may rasterize content if the file contains advanced design features, resulting in large export sizes.

Next steps

If the PDF contains advanced design features such as gradients, complex transformations (rotation, skew), blend modes, transparency, pattern fills, complex clipping paths, or advanced stroke effects, it may trigger rasterization and result in larger export sizes. To minimize this, try simplifying your design by reducing these elements where possible. If that’s not an option, rasterization may occur and could increase the file size.

PDF export appears to be stuck at 90%

Summary

Exported PDF is stuck at 90%

Next steps

The progress indicator is currently a visual representation, but it may not reflect the exact stage of the export process. When you see it at 90%, that does not necessarily mean the export is stuck; it may actually be at an earlier phase of loading. Our team is working to provide a more accurate display of progress. Mixed right-to-left (RTL) and left-to-right (LTR) text may display incorrectly

Under review

App version Adobe Express
Impacted device types All
Last updated March 17, 2026

Summary

Text written in RTL languages may not display correctly in Adobe Express when a single paragraph contains a mix of RTL and LTR text, such as Arabic text that includes English words. RTL language support is partial, and mixed‑direction text can cause alignment or ordering issues in the editor.

Next steps

To improve text rendering, you can separate RTL and LTR content using Unicode directional isolates. These are invisible characters that help the editor correctly interpret text direction:

  • Right‑to‑left Isolate (RLI) – U+2067
  • Left‑to‑right Isolate (LRI) – U+2066
  • Pop directional isolate (PDI) – U+2069 (ends the isolated segment)

Adding these characters around RTL or LTR text can reduce rendering issues when both directions appear in the same paragraph. We’re actively investigating this issue. Check back for updates as improvements are made.
