Create a PDF from scratch
Learn how to create a blank PDF without using an existing file, image, or scan.
Creating a blank PDF is helpful when you need to make a simple one-page or two-page document from scratch. You can also create a new PDF form from a blank page to design custom forms with text fields, buttons, and other interactive elements.
For multi-page or heavily formatted documents, it's best to use a layout tool like Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word, then export the file as a PDF.
Windows
To add static text and images, select Edit from the top menu and then:
- Select Text to type static text for labels, instructions, or more.
- Select Image to insert logos, graphics, or other images.
To add form fields, select Prepare a form from the left pane, choose a field type, drag to place it on the page, and then double-click to customize.

To save your new PDF, select Menu > Save as, choose a location, enter a file name, and select Save.
