Learn how Dynamic Text can make your text resize automatically for shapes and paths in Adobe Photoshop on desktop.

Dynamic Text automatically forces text to span the length of a given shape or path, so when the letters change, they will recalibrate their size to fit the specified range of the shape or path. You may use presets, or create your own shapes or paths to use with the Dynamic fit option.

Dynamic Text presets

  • Block: Text scales and reflows to fit within a rectangular bounding box.
  • Circle: Text follows a circular path and scales between defined start and end points.
  • Arch: Text follows an upward-curving path and scales between defined points.
  • Bow: Text follows a downward-curving path and scales between defined points.

Block scales and reflows text to fit within a rectangular bounding box. Circle, Arch, and Bow position text along curved paths and scale it between defined start and end points. Dynamic fit is also available for text placed on any path or shape, automatically resizing the text to fit

Dynamic fit works when text is placed on any path or shape. Draw a path using the Pen tool, Curvature Pen tool, or Shape tool, then select the Type tool and select the path or near it to add text. Select Dynamic fit to automatically resize text to fill the path or shape.
