Make sure your documents always reflect the latest attribute data with simple review and refresh tools.
Attributes are extracted automatically when you open a document or view documents inside a collection. You can review the extracted values, check the attribution links, and refresh attribute data to keep everything up to date.
Apply or refresh attributes in a collection
Adobe Acrobat Analyzer automatically extracts attributes when documents are added to a collection. If documents have changed or if new attributes were created after the original extraction, you can refresh attribute data.

-
Select the Refresh All Attributes button.
(Do not check any documents, just select the button and all attributes will be updated.) -
When refresh is clicked, Acrobat Analyzer extracts attributes on that collection based on the latest version of the attribute saved. This can take some time, depending on how many attributes have not been extracted before or are stale.
This can take some time, depending on how many stale attributes you have.
Refreshing ensures the attribute values reflect the latest document content and the most up-to-date versions of your attributes.
When to refresh attributes
Refresh attributes if:
- You recently created or edited a custom attribute
- Documents were added, updated, or reprocessed
- You see a blue dot indicating stale or missing values
- Attribute values look incomplete or inconsistent
Keeping attributes fresh helps ensure your searches, filters, and exports remain accurate.
