Configure user permissions for Analyzer in Sign

Last updated on Aug 14, 2026

Override organization-wide settings when individual users need different permissions in Analyzer.

User-level permissions take precedence over the defaults configured in General settings. Use overrides only for exceptions; users without an override inherit the organization-wide setting.

Edit user permissions

Go to Settings > User Management.

Select one or more users.

Select Edit permission.

In the Edit permissions panel, select Override global setting.

Choose Yes or No for each permission you want to override:

  • Share collections
  • Create attributes
  • Ingest documents
User Management page showing the Edit permissions panel with overrides for sharing collections, creating attributes, and ingesting documents.
User-level overrides let administrators create targeted exceptions without changing the organization-wide defaults for everyone else.

Save the configuration.

How overrides work

When Override global setting is not selected, the user inherits the value configured in General settings.

When you enable an override:

  • The selected Yes or No value applies to that user regardless of the organization-wide setting.
  • The override remains in effect until an administrator changes it or applies the organization setting to all users.
  • The override control does not indicate whether the user-specific value currently differs from the organization-wide value.

Selecting Apply to all users in General settings removes individual overrides and aligns affected users with the organization-wide value.

Configure multiple users

You can edit permissions for multiple users at the same time.

When the selected users share the same current value, that value appears in the permission control.

When the selected users have different values, the control displays Select.

Choosing a new value applies it to all selected users.
