Fix common errors

Error: "Failed to install" Creative Cloud desktop app

Try the solutions in Error "Failed to install" Creative Cloud desktop app if you received any of the following errors while updating the Creative Cloud desktop app:

  • "Creative Cloud Desktop Failed to Install"
  • "Creative Cloud Desktop Failed to Update"

Error: Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve this problem, is missing or damaged

Creative Cloud signs me out or asks me to sign in repeatedly

Error: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-1-1-0.dll is missing

Did you get one of the following errors when trying to install or launch a Creative Cloud app:

  • Windows updates from Microsoft required to install this product are not available on this computer. Please install the required updates and try again.
  • The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

CC desktop app doesn't open | Progress wheel spins continually

Is the Creative Cloud desktop app stuck loading or initializing? Is it displaying the spinning wheel and one of these messages:

  • Loading application seems to be taking longer than usual.
  • Creative Cloud seems to be taking longer than usual to initialize.

If you tried relaunching it and are still getting the spinning wheel, try the solutions in CC desktop app doesn't open.

Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements do not launch | Windows 10
