Error 176 causes installation failure

Learn how to resolve error code 176 "Unable to install on a network drive" during Adobe app installation.

Error code 176 indicates that you are trying to install the app on a network drive, which isn't supported. To resolve the error, change the installation location for your apps and reinstall the app.

The network drive is blocking the installation

We recommend installing your Adobe apps on a local drive or partition on your computer.

Select the Account icon in the upper right corner, and then choose Preferences.

Select Apps from the left panel.

Select the edit icon  next to Install location, and choose your preferred folder for Creative Cloud app installations.

Select Done to apply the changes.

Install the app again.
