Learn how to troubleshoot Error 240 and update Adobe apps when installation or update attempts fail.

Error code 240 indicates that the installer package you're trying to use is no longer valid because the build has been revoked. This issue often resolves automatically within 24 hours. However, you can try updating your app manually to fix the issue sooner.

The installer package is no longer valid

Follow the steps to manually check for updates:

Select the Creative Cloud   icon in the Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

In the left sidebar, select Apps, then choose Your apps.

Select Your apps to view all the apps installed on your machine
The Your apps tab is refreshed automatically when Creative Cloud detects newly installed, updated, or removed Adobe apps.

In the Your Apps tab, select Manage updates, then choose Check for updates.

The More actions icon under Installed apps in the Apps tab shows options to enable or manage auto updates and check for updates.
Selecting Check for updates refreshes the list of available app updates and helps ensure you're viewing the latest versions available for your Adobe apps.

In the Updates window, review all the apps that can be updated.

Install or update an available version of the required app.

Note

If you have auto-updates enabled, your apps will update automatically.
