Where to find AI Assistant

  1. Open Photoshop Elements Editor.

  2. Go to Quick mode.

    Note

The AI Assistant panel is available only in Quick mode.

Quick start: Try suggested prompts

Try any of the following sample prompts to see how the AI Assistant works:

  • Remove background from my photo.
  • Add text to the center of canvas.
  • Convert to Black & White.

Click the refresh icon in the AI Assistant panel to see a new set of prompt suggestions.

Write a prompt

  • Some prompts will execute the action directly (for example, Add text to photo adds default text to the center of the photo).
  • Prompts that are general queries (for example, What’s new in Photoshop Elements 2026) will return information or guidance from the AI Assistant rather than applying an edit.

Example:

  • Add text to photo → Will add default text to the center of the photo.
  • What’s new in Photoshop Elements 2026 → Will tell you about new features released in Photoshop Elements 2026.

Tips for better results

  • Be specific: Provide clear, concise instructions for the edit you want.
  • Use clear language for edits: Short commands (e.g., Remove background) often work best.
  • Undo: You can undo by simply typing Undo in the prompt box.
  • Provide feedback: Use the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icons on generated results, or submit feedback using the Share Feedback link at the bottom right of the AI Assistant panel.
  • Join the Adobe Photoshop Elements Community to exchange ideas, ask questions, and get tips.
