Fix common errors

Error: "Failed to install" Creative Cloud desktop app

Try the solutions in Resolve installation failure | Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application if you received any of the following errors while updating the Creative Cloud desktop app:

  • "Creative Cloud Desktop Failed to Install"
  • "Creative Cloud Desktop Failed to Update"

Error: Adobe Creative Cloud, needed to resolve this problem, is missing or damaged

Creative Cloud signs me out or asks me to sign in repeatedly

Error: api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

Did you get one of the following errors when trying to install or launch a Creative Cloud app:

  • Windows updates from Microsoft required to install this product are not available on this computer. Please install the required updates and try again.
  • The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Creative Cloud desktop app doesn't open | Progress wheel spins continually

Is the Creative Cloud desktop app stuck loading or initializing? Is it displaying the spinning wheel and one of these messages:

  • Loading application seems to be taking longer than usual.
  • Creative Cloud seems to be taking longer than usual to initialize.

Getting started with a subscription is fast and easy: Go to our buying guide and choose your product and plan, and then complete the purchase.

To install the apps, check your email for a message from Adobe with your serial number and a link to download your software. After you download the product, double-click the installer and follow the onscreen instructions to install your product and start your subscription
