Quickly locate your product serial number so you can reinstall or upgrade.

If a Creative Cloud app asks for a serial number

Creative Cloud apps do not require serial numbers. If you are asked to enter a serial number when you start a Creative Cloud app, it is an error. For help resolving this issue, see Troubleshoot when Ceative Cloud apps asks for serial number.

If you purchased from Adobe.com or registered your product

If you downloaded your product from Adobe.com or have registered it, finding your serial number is simple. Adobe keeps track of it for you.

To see a list of your registered products and their serial numbers, follow these steps:

  1. Access your Adobe ID account, and sign in with your Adobe ID and password. 

    Your Adobe ID is the unique email address you first used when you started your membership, or purchased an Adobe app or service. If you used your social (Facebook or Google) account to create your Adobe ID account, your Adobe ID is the same as the email address associated with your social account. For more information, see Manage your Adobe ID account.

  2. In the navigation bar at the top of the Manage Account page, choose Plans & Products.

  3. In the Order History section, choose View your orders.

  4. In the Order History section, choose the desired order number.

  5. In the Order number screen, choose either View all downloads or Downloads and Serial Numbers

If you have the product packaging or a redemption code from a reseller

If you have the product packaging or a redemption code from a reseller, check the following table to find your serial number.

As a volume license 

You can find your serial number on the Adobe Licensing Website.

As part of Creative Suite 6 (CS6 products)

No serial number is required to install or launch a Creative Suite 6 app. Instead, go to the Adobe accounts page and sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

If you have a redemption code, go to Redeem your purchase. Sign in with your Adobe ID and password, enter your redemption code, follow the onscreen instructions, and install your product.

If you’re installing from disks, enter your Adobe ID when the installer prompts you. (If you began installing before you redeemed your code, cancel, redeem your code, and start again.)

 

ColdFusion Server, Flash Communication Server, or JRun

Prepaid card, product box, or from reseller

If you purchased your product using a prepaid card, have a boxed product, or bought from a reseller, here's how to find your serial number.

ColdFusion Server, Flash Communication Server, or JRun

How do I find my serial number?

ColdFusion Server MX and ColdFusion Server 5.0

1. Go to the ColdFusion Administrator.
2. On the blue bar across the top of the screen, click Version Info to display the serial number. If no serial number appears, you have a trial version of the software.

ColdFusion Server 4.5

1. Find the CF Admin toolbar on the left. 
2. Under the Server section, click Version Info to display the serial number. 

ColdFusion Server 4.01 and earlier

1. Choose Start > Run. Type regedit and click OK.
2. Open the registration in HKEY_local_machineSoftwareAllaireColdFusionCurrentVersion.
3. Note the serial number on the right.

ColdFusion Studio 4.5 and earlier

1. Choose Help > About > Version Info.
2. Note the serial number in the lower left of the dialog box.

Flash Communication Server

1. Start the Administration Console and log in.
2. Click the License tab and note the serial number in the Server Licenses field.

JRun 4.0 and 3.0

1. Go to the JRun Management Control (JMC).
2. Click Serial Number.

JRun 2.3.3

1. Go to the JRun Administrator.
2. Click the Licenses tab. 

Invalid or revoked serial number

If you have received a message when trying to install Creative Suite 6, stating the serial number you are using has been revoked, or is invalid, it is because the serial number you are attempting to use has been blocked by Adobe. Adobe blocks serial numbers that are known to have not been issued by Adobe, or are known to have been used fraudulently by unauthorized sellers to produce counterfeit software. Unfortunately, you may only know the serial number has been blocked for this reason when re-activating or reinstalling Adobe software.
