Adobe and Microsoft have worked together to test Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 6 applications for reliability, performance, and user experience when installed on Intel-based systems running Microsoft® Windows® 8.1. There are currently no known issues. Adobe Photoshop® CS5, CS4, and CS3 were also tested with Windows 8.1 and there are currently no known major issues.
As with any new release of an operating system, unexpected issues could arise that were not discovered during testing. If you encounter any issues, report them using the bug reporting form.
Do any of the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) or CS6 applications require updates to be compatible with Windows 8.1?
At this time, only Adobe Flash Pro CC, build 188.8.131.529, requires an update for compatibility with Windows 8.1. All other versions of Adobe Flash Pro are supported.
If updates for Windows 8.1 compatibility with Creative Suite or Creative Cloud products are required in the future, the updates will be made available in the following ways:
Active Creative Cloud members receive updates. You are notified of any updates via the Creative Cloud Desktop App or through the application itself.
Updates will be made through the Adobe Updater (Adobe CS6 products and earlier) or Creative Cloud Desktop App (Adobe CC products and later). As long you have the automated notification feature in Adobe Updater turned on, you are alerted automatically when the updates become available. You can then follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the updates. Alternatively, if you own a CS6 product that requires an update, you can open the CS6 product and choose Help > Updates to open the Adobe Updater. Select all the updates you want, and then click Download and Install Updates. Lastly, you can also visit the downloads page on Adobe.com to monitor when updates are posted. Then, you can download and install the updates for each relevant product.

Is Adobe aware of any major issues, bugs, or odd user experiences when using CC, CS6, or Adobe Acrobat® products with Windows 8.1?
When attempting to install an Adobe Creative Cloud application on Windows 8.1 using Internet Explorer 11, you could encounter a plug-in warning. Adobe has found no other significant issues with running CC, CS6, or Acrobat products with Windows 8.1.
Now that Adobe Flash Player is bundled with Windows 8.1, how do I get it and what customer support is available?
I use a number of plug-ins with my current version of Creative Suite. Are these plug-ins compatible with Creative Suite running Windows 8.1?
Customers are encouraged to check plug-in compatibility by contacting the plug-in vendor before upgrading to Windows 8.1. For third-party products, contact the manufacturer for guidance.
