Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Teams bring creative work and teamwork together. With the Creative Cloud app for Microsoft Teams, designers can easily share their work, get feedback, and stay up-to-date on actions taken on their assets.

Note: Currently, Internet Explorer 11 or older versions are not supported. Use Microsoft Teams desktop app or open Microsoft Teams in other supported web browsers, such as Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Firefox.

What’s new in August 2018 release

  • Share your assets with an improved message extension: Now you can easily select from a list of your 20 most recently modified assets, or run a search to share assets with your team
  • Stay-up-to-date when comments happen in XD prototypes: The Creative Cloud bot delivers notifications directly to you when comments are left in your XD prototypes. Notifications are ON by default. You can use the "Notifications Off" command to disable the notifications.
  • Less is more: We know what you care most about in Microsoft Teams are sharing your assets easily, getting feedback and staying up-to-date when actions happen on your assets. So, we’ve simplified our app by removing the Adobe Stock tab and the following bot commands - Get Recent Files, Search Adobe Stock, Search Adobe Creative Cloud, and Search Adobe Help.

Get the Creative Cloud app for your team

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft Teams web account at https://teams.microsoft.com/, or download and use the Microsoft Teams Desktop app.

  2. Click Store in the sidebar, and then choose Adobe Creative Cloud from the list of apps and services.

  3. In the pop-up, select your team from the Add to a team drop-down list, and then click Install.

  4. In the pop-up, select the channel where you want to use the app, and then set up the features that you want – Bot, Tab, or Messaging.

Give your team instant access to files and collaborate on it by pinning Creative Cloud assets to a tab

  1. Select your channel, and then click the + button to the right of the existing tabs list.

  2. In the pop-up, choose Adobe Creative Cloud and then click Sign in with Adobe ID (if you haven’t already signed in). Provide your credentials and follow onscreen instructions to complete the sign-in.

  3. Choose the asset from the list of Files or Libraries that you want to link to the tab, and then click Save. A new tab with the asset’s name is added to the channel.

Share Creative Cloud assets in your conversations using message extension

  1. On the Conversations tab, click More Options (...) below the compose box and then choose Adobe Creative Cloud.

  2. The 20 most recent assets are displayed inline. To choose an asset for sharing, do one of the following:

    • Choose an asset from the list, or
    • Search for an asset using the search box at the top, and then choose one from the search results.
  3. The chosen asset is posted as a rich card. To see the details of the asset, click Open in Browser.

Stay up-to-date on comments left on Adobe XD prototypes

The Creative Cloud bot sends messages directly to you whenever comments are left on Adobe XD prototypes you are collaborating on.

Who receives notifications?

  • The asset owner receives notifications when reviewers add comments, modify comments, or reply to comments.
  • Other users who are part of a comment thread receive notifications on that thread only.

Notifications are ON by default. You can use the "Notifications Off" command to disable the notifications.

  1. Select Chat in the sidebar, and then select Adobe Creative Cloud from the Recent list.

  2. Enter Notifications Off or choose Notifications Off from the command list, and then and press Enter.

    A confirmation message is displayed that the notifications are turned off.

    If you've signed in using the Tab interface for the first time, you see that the notifications are Off by default. To enable the notifications, use the Notifications On command.

    If you prefer to receive notifications in Microsoft Teams and want to turn off notifications in other channels like email, go to accounts.adobe.com.

How to remove access to your shared Adobe Creative Cloud assets

You can remove access to a shared asset in two ways - remove the asset from the Teams workspace or completely remove the access to the asset using the Creative Cloud assets website.

  1. To remove the asset from the Teams workspace, click the down arrow in the tab, and then select Remove.

  2. To further remove access for anyone who you may have shared the asset with, do the following:

    1. Sign in to https://assets.adobe.com/ with your Adobe ID and password.
    2. Go to Files > All, and then click the shared file or folder.
    3. Click Share and then select Send Link.
    4. In the Send Link dialog box, click Remove Public Link.
