Convert files to cloud documents

Learn how to convert files into cloud documents and store them in Creative Cloud for access across supported Adobe apps.

You can upload files from Adobe XD, Photoshop, InDesign, Fresco, and Illustrator as cloud documents, along with PDFs, images, and text documents. Once saved, you can view and edit them using the Creative Cloud desktop app and respective Adobe apps.

Convert files to cloud documents in a few simple steps.

Open Creative Cloud

Select the Creative Cloud icon in the Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar to open the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Select the Files > Files icon.

Select the Add icon, and then select Upload.

The Add button, available in the top-right corner of the Files tab in the Creative Cloud desktop app, provides the option to upload your files. — You can upload multiple files and convert them to cloud documents.

Browse to a file on your device, then select Open.

For AI, PSD, or XD files, select Continue.

The Convert file to cloud document dialog box provides the option to continue with the file upload. — You can select Don't show this again to never see the dialog box for your future file uploads.

The selected file is uploaded and converted to a cloud document, making it available across Creative Cloud and supported Adobe apps.

Note

You cannot upload a cloud document using Adobe Home.
