Learn how to fix the download error when opening the Apps tab in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

When you open the Creative Cloud desktop app and select the Apps tab, you may get this error message: “Download error. Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.”

OOBE and AAMUpdater folders are corrupted or damaged

You can resolve this error by deleting the OOBE and AAMUpdater folders and then launching the Creative Cloud desktop app again, which recreates the folders.

Removing the OOBE and AAMUpdater folders will reset some Creative Cloud desktop app settings, and you’ll have to sign in to your Adobe account again.
