Learn about errors that occur when you try to update Creative Cloud apps and how you can resolve them.
Download file is corrupted or invalid
Error messages during an update indicate that the app update has failed. In this case, your Creative Cloud apps may display any of the following errors:

These errors might occur due to any of the following reasons:
- The download is corrupted, or the downloaded file’s signature is invalid.
- There is a file size mismatch between the size specified in the manifest and the actual file.
- The file isn't present on the update server at the specified location.
To resolve these errors, follow these solutions in the given order:
Creative Cloud desktop app encountered a temporary error
Your update may be stuck, or you might be facing a temporary glitch because of corrupted or incomplete download files. To resolve it, cancel any active updates and start the process again.
Open the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Go to Updates on the right-hand panel and select Cancel next to any app that is updating.
Wait a few minutes, and update the app again by selecting Update.
Creative Cloud app requires an update
You may be using an older version of the app. To ensure you get the latest experience, check for available app updates in the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Open the Creative Cloud desktop app and go to the Apps tab on the left panel.
In the Installed apps panel on the right, select More actions > Check for updates.
Select View Updates to open the Updates window and see all the apps that you can update.
