Unable to receive notifications on Creative Cloud desktop app

Learn what to do if you can't receive notifications about updates, file syncing, or invitations from the Creative Cloud desktop app.

If the app notifications or system notifications for the Creative Cloud desktop app are turned off, you won't receive comments, invitations to edit, and other essential updates.

Notification settings are turned off in the Creative Cloud desktop app

Select the Account icon in the upper right, then select Preferences.

In the left sidebar, select Notifications.

Ensure that you’ve selected the types of notifications you want to receive.

Select the type of notification you’d like to receive in the Creative Cloud desktop app.

Select Done to save your changes.

System-level notifications are disabled for the Creative Cloud desktop app

Go to Account > Preferences > Notifications.

In the notifications alert, select go to system settings to open the system notification settings.

The alert is displayed only when your Creative Cloud desktop app system notifications are turned off.

Turn on system notifications:

  • Windows: In the Notifications window, go to Adobe Creative Cloud and toggle on the notifications.
  • macOS: In the Notifications window, select Creative Cloud and turn on Allow notifications.
